Great Weekend at Daytona !!

We had another great weekend with our 12U and 13U Gold playing at the USSSA Spring Break Bash in Daytona.

Here's how we did...

The 12 U had a rocky start against the Daytona Sting Rays with a 15-0 defeat, but put up a fight against The Maitland Pride although they lost 12-3. This second game everyone really started swinging the bat !!! Unfortunately Maitland was a polished team who went on to win the whole championship so they were truly tough competition.

The second day, the 12U once again had to face Maitland, but gave an outstanding performance and fought hard, but lost with a very respectable score 7-5. They were a good team guys.... when we meet them again and beat them (and you will) you will all realize how far you have come !!!!

Our 13U Gold had an outstanding weekend, winning every game up to the Championship, where they took 2nd place in the whole tournament. We had a solid approach  throughout !!!!! Great Job guys !!

Here are the results -
First game we beat the MBA 7-1 and followed with a 8-5 victory against Orlando Thunder. The next game was also a win against the Jacksonville Blue Claws (9-1) as was the 16-7 game against the Beyel Bros in the semi-final. Our Championship game was our first loss of the tournament against the Florida Young Guns with a score of 6-14. Oh, and in case I forgot to mention it, although we are a 13U team we played up in the 14U division making our great results even sweeter !!!

There will be no practice this week so enjoy spring break.
