Great Weekend at Daytona !!

We had another great weekend with our 12U and 13U Gold playing at the USSSA Spring Break Bash in Daytona.

Here's how we did...

The 12 U had a rocky start against the Daytona Sting Rays with a 15-0 defeat, but put up a fight against The Maitland Pride although they lost 12-3. This second game everyone really started swinging the bat !!! Unfortunately Maitland was a polished team who went on to win the whole championship so they were truly tough competition.

The second day, the 12U once again had to face Maitland, but gave an outstanding performance and fought hard, but lost with a very respectable score 7-5. They were a good team guys.... when we meet them again and beat them (and you will) you will all realize how far you have come !!!!

Our 13U Gold had an outstanding weekend, winning every game up to the Championship, where they took 2nd place in the whole tournament. We had a solid approach  throughout !!!!! Great Job guys !!

Here are the results -
First game we beat the MBA 7-1 and followed with a 8-5 victory against Orlando Thunder. The next game was also a win against the Jacksonville Blue Claws (9-1) as was the 16-7 game against the Beyel Bros in the semi-final. Our Championship game was our first loss of the tournament against the Florida Young Guns with a score of 6-14. Oh, and in case I forgot to mention it, although we are a 13U team we played up in the 14U division making our great results even sweeter !!!

There will be no practice this week so enjoy spring break.

Doubleheader Wins, Practice this week and Daytona!!!!

Lots to tell you guys !!!!

First off, I need to take a moment to say how great the 13 Black played on Sunday in their double header against the Vero Beach Hurricanes.....

They won both games 10-5 & 16-5, everyone hit and there was some great pitching..... I think these games showed so much improvement in all areas, and I saw real gelling of you guys as a team. Lets keep it going and get tournament ready !!! GREAT JOB

***** THIS WEEKS TEAM PRACTICE WILL BE WEDNESDAY AT STRADLEY AT 6PM******

If your hitting lesson is normally Wednesday it will be at the same time on Friday. If you cant make it Friday, just call me and we will slot you in somewhere else !!!!!

Also I still havent had all the money for Daytona. Most 12's have paid but there are a couple outstanding, but most of the 13's going have not paid. If you still want to go I will need your money by Tuesday night.

Sunday's scrimmage game & Friday's Practice

This Friday we will be having our weekly team practice for all teams at 6pm at Stradley in Cocoa.

On Sunday the 13U Black will be playing a scrimmage game against The Vero Beach Hurricanes. We are still working on a field for this game so keep watching this space for more details.....

You win some you lose some....

So this weekend's results were short on wins and short on runs, but every game is a new opportunity in baseball and we should never dwell on our losses, but get back up and look forward to the next game!!!

The 13U Gold team played at the Super NIT in Plantation this weekend and had some tough teams.
On Saturday they lost both games against team Reebok (10-3) and Leon Medical (7-0). On Sunday they had a great win against South Florida Renegades (8-0) but finished off the tournament with a loss against one of our local teams The Beyel Bros (7-3)

 Every team looses at times and thats part of the game. It feels great to win and when you are used to winning it hurts even more to lose, but roll with the punches guys, and get ready to remind everyone out there what the K9 can do!!!

The 10U team also played on Saturday in Palm Bay. They lost all 3 games 9-0 vs Top Prospects, 9-3 vs Oviedo Raptors and 12-0 against Top prospects Nationals....

Heres the difference.... You guys are a brand new team and your opponents are all established teams. We are still developing our skills and finding our groove as a team... You all have great potential, I plan to take you guys all the way.... all of this is part and parcel of our development and we are still finding our feet!!!

This weeks Practice

This week we have secured fields at Stradley in Cocoa... Practice will be at 6pm for everyone!!! See you there guys!!

This weekend's results

Well done to all the guys who played this weekend, we had some great games and great results!!

13 Black played a double header against the Brevard Bulldogs and lost the first game 6-2. They played hard and came back in the second game to win 6-5 good job guys!!!

The 10U also played against the Brevard Bulldogs in their very first outing as K9-ers!! Well done guys for sweeping the board with 11-3 and 12-0 victories, what a great way to start!!!!

Next weekends schedule

Next weekend is a busy one!! Here is what everyone will be doing....

The 13U Gold will be playing at the Super NIT in Stuart. The cost per player will be $45

The 13U Black, 12U and 10U will be playing at the Spring Slugfest at Palm Bay Regional Park. The cost will be $45 per player for 13U and $40 for 12U and 10U players


Please make sure EVERYONE pays me for these tournaments TONIGHT. I cannot keep funding these tournaments weeks ahead of time and then not getting the money from everyone.

Friday's Practice Location

This Friday practice for everyone will be at Stradley Park in Cocoa. The address is 1881 Rostone St, Cocoa, 32936

Friday and this weekend's events!

Here are the details of this weekend's games.....

FRIDAY  Little League are using our practice field at McGrath so our team practice will be at a new location - I'm working on this, so watch this space!!

On SATURDAY, the Babe Ruth League will be playing in Orlando. The games are open to players aged 13-15 yrs old, so any K9 players within this age range can play.

Space is limited to 10 players, so please let me know if you are able to attend as numbers are limited.

The games will be 11am -1pm and will take place at Eagles Nest Park, 5165 Metrowest Blvd, Orlando, 32811. Uniforms will be K9 practice jerseys and white hat.

On SUNDAY the 10U team will be playing a double header against the Brevard Bulldogs at Hedgecock Field, Satellite Beach between 11am -1pm. Ump fees should be $10 per person.
