Uniforms for new and existing Players

If anyone would like to purchase any K9 apparel please contact Brevard Team Sports directly.

They know all the components of our uniforms, and are really helpful and knowledgeable. The are located at

The only item they dont provide are our helmets which are available from me directly!!

Team Practices this week

All teams will practice this Friday at 6pm at McGrath

10U AAU Cards

All 10U players need to get their AAU membership beofre we can play in any tournaments, and we are currently scheduling one for March 11th !!!

It costs around $12 or $14 and membership lasts one year. You can purchase this online at http://www.aaubaseball.org/ , click on AAU membership programs and its self-explanatory from there.

Coaches also need to purchase membership (choose non-athelete option)

This weeks changes

As we were at the Cocoa Expo on Monday, some of you missed out on your hitting lessons. To remedy this we are making the following changes THIS WEEK ONLY

No team practice Friday

Everyone who missed hitting on Monday will have their hitting this Friday instead (same times)

Results from this weekend

As I said in my last post GREAT JOB EVERYONE !!! You guys won all weekend long and showed all our opponents how we play some great baseball at the K9!!!

Everyone was focused, and remembered what we had been practising... Your hard work is paying off and you are looking like pros out there!!! Keep it up !

I'm proud to report the following results...

13 Black went down to Vero Beach and represented the K9 against the Hurricanes, doing a fantastic job to win both games 10-3 and 9-2. The Black team are becoming a force to be reckoned with and are building a reputation out there!!

12U and 13 Gold both represented us at the Cocoa Expo President's Day Challenge and we came back with first place (Gold) and second place (12U) trophies !!! Our 13 Gold are really decimating all our local teams on a regular basis now and the 12's are really starting to find their feet and gel as a team...you guys did awesome.

The 12's lost the first game 9-8 (a close one!) against the Viera Hawks and then went on to win the next 3 games - once against the Space Coast Tigers (18-1) and twice against Estacades (13-9 and 14-1) to win a place in the final. Again we faced the Viera Hawks and lost by a hair with a final score of 8-7 to win our second place trophy !!!

The 13 Gold had an unbeatable weekend and won every game in style with an outstanding 76 runs (and only 8 given up) over the 3 days. The beat the Wisconsin River cats 15-0, Top Prospects 8-2, Merritt Island Mustangs 15-1, Vero Beach Blaze 11-0, Estacades 11-1 and the Beyel Bros 7-4 in the Championship!!!

What a GREAT Weekend

What a great weekend..... The 13 Gold and 12U teams have been busy in at the President's Day Challenge at Cocoa Expo and the 13 Black played away in Vero Beach against the Hurricaines. I will post the results after Monday as the Cocoa Expo finals are Monday and congratulations everyone - Today the K9 played 6 games and were undefeated in all games!!!

Team Practice for everyone will be on Friday at 6PM at McGrath Fields in Eau Gallie

There will be a Double Header for the 13U on Tue 15th starting at 5.30pm at Cocoa Expo. We willl be playing a Canadian Team !!!!

12U will play a scrimmage against the 12U Canadians on Wednesday 16th at Cocoa Beach High School !!!

Just a reminder to everyone that we will need $10 for Ritchie Lewis to help us develop our pitching..
If writing a check please make ot out to Ritchie. He will be coming to some of our team practices from now on and working with everyone at this time. He is also available for private lessons which you can book directly with him - he really is a talented pitching coach and I believe his input will really benefit all of us!!!!
